What are sessions? And What is Energy Psychology?

The sessions are a blend of mind/body therapies and self help techniques, using the latest developments in the fields of psychology, acupuncture, kinesiology, integrative medicine and neuro-science. Methods include working with the human energy system providing relief from mind-body distress, using meridians, acupoints, chakras and the biofield. This often involves eye movements, focusing in to sensations in the body, tapping, or holding particular points on your own body and stating phrases to create a release.

Energy Psychology (EP) focuses on restoring the natural flow of energy within your body by combining Eastern approach to the mind and body, with Western psychology and psychotherapy. Together these techniques address the physical, emotional and cognitive practices of unease in health, emotional dysfunction and mental patterns at the most fundamental levels of our conscious and subconscious mind, body and spirit.

Traditional psychotherapy utilizes the power of speech to transform emotions through talking about one’s feelings, experiences and issues. The process often helps the patient to come to a better understanding of oneself, develop new ways of viewing things, and begin to consider new alternatives. However, discussion alone does not have the power to significantly change one’s innermost world nor make one happy. By holding onto an issue only makes it heavier and keeps you connected to it, as well as affecting those around you.

Energy Psychology techniques were developed by many founders of varies techniques from the Neuro-Linguistic by Richard Bandler over forty years ago to first popularized in the early 1980’s by Roger Callahan, Ph.D. , under the names of The Callahan Technique or Thought Field Therapy. To James Braid (1795-1860) was the founder of hypnotherapy.

What can energy psychology do for me?

Energy Psychology is a blend of techniques that disrupt, change, and manipulate your brains conscious and sub-conscious connections, releasing the patterns held in your body. How does Energy Psychology work?

Your body is composed of energy pathways and energy centers that are in a dynamic interplay with your cells, organs, moods, and thoughts. Your thoughts/words send send off chemical/hormonal reactions in your body. When you flip, change or shift these energies you can change your health, emotions, and state of mind. The technique centers on accessing and changing the energy in the meridians, acupressure points, chakras and bio-field systems, to shift states of bodily experience and clears emotional disturbances in the energy body. This is done by addressing a problem i.e. a negative emotion, a traumatic incident, a bad feeling, or limiting belief, which is normally triggered when someone says something, or you recall a memory, that has caused emotional upset. When recalling an upsetting incident, which triggers in you an emotional response, it causes a disturbance in your mind/body system and creates neurological changes causing anchors in your consciousness. Using powerful methods can loosen up the model of the subconscious reformulating into healthier balance of self talk. Tapping acupuncture points (especially the fight or flight meridian points) will clear/delete this programs neutralize the issues, stories and programs running behind the scenes to create peace with these memories to be replaced with inner peace.

We start with your story around the issue or issues. By addressing the story we then go in and release it, clear it, and let it go with the intention of making peace within our selves.
